Brent's Spiritual Campaign

People need leadership, and leadership can take many forms. Musicians are leaders. Actors are leaders. Politicians are leaders. Why not computer programmers?

For several years, I've considered some form of political campaign. After a great deal of soul-searching, I decided that I just didn't like the things I saw myself doing if I became a successful politician. I also came to realize that the scope of political leadership is fairly narrow, confined to the government. Not only are the concerns I have and the issues I wish to raise broader than this, but I question the utility of government as a solution to our problems.

So I've decided to conduct a spiritual campaign instead. I've received permission from the National Park Service to hold a series of Sunday afternoon speeches on the National Mall this fall. If you live in the Washington, D.C. area, I hope to see you there; otherwise, please follow my progress on this web page. I plan to have on-line videos of the speeches.
